The End A.D. is a female-fronted band that combines hardcore, punk and metal to tell brutally honest tales of overcoming addiction, loss, death, abjection, the people you meet in hell, and other social commentaries. The band was originally formed in 2014 when long-time Philly hardcore/metal scene veterans, guitarist Paul Juestrich (Deadspot, Rupert Speed) and drummer Lorin Savadove (Power Theory), who cite that they both had an interest in playing together for years, decided to form a new band with former members of Anvil Bitch and The She Males. In the brief period between the departure of the band’s original singer and most of their rhythm section, Juestrich and Savadove sought to find a new singer with an explosive vocal style, as well as the swagger show-goers expect from a front-man. However the founding members had something else in mind altogether… This time they were looking for a front-woman. The End A.D. would go onto to play many shows throughout the region, receiving great local acclaim as being one of Philly’s most exciting bands to see live, in part for Ami Friend’s alluring stage-presence and undeniable swagger, as well as the rest of the band’s penchant for a tight, aggressive and explosive delivery of the band’s crossover metal/punk sound. The End A.D.’s “Badlands” album was released November 29, 2019 and was much anticipated both locally and in Europe. The album was released on CD and Digital formats via Fastball Records/Soulfood, along with a special cassette version released by Infernö Records.
