Stu Hamm Educates at Elderly

On Thursday, September 7, "everything slid down to a slower frequency" on the bottom floor at Elderly Instruments as longtime GHS artist, Stu Hamm, led a workshop on Modern Bass Technique. Throughout the 90-minute workshop, the attendees were treated to the history of the electric bass, Stu's personal music history, a selection of solo bass pieces and how Stu arrived at the techniques that he uses today.

The 11 attendees (some of which also registered for private lessons earlier in the day with Stu) were from all parts of Michigan. One couple drove over two hours to attend, after just finding out about the event earlier in the day! At the end of the evening, Stu took time to hang out and pose for photos with the attendees.
