Guitarist Vincent Venezia is in today's contemporary music scene. He began playing guitar at age eight, studying with various instructors from his hometown of Cliffside Park, New Jersey. Accomplished in several styles of music, he is a veteran of Broadway and has embarked on several European tours. His docket is filled with gigs in the tri-state area as a leader, sideman, and composer since graduating William Paterson College with a degree in Jazz Studies and Performance. 

Venezia was instructed by the best performers of our time: jazz guitarists Bob DeVos, Harry Leahey and classical guitarist Leonid Bolotin. In recognition of his prowess, The National Endowment for the Arts awarded Venezia two consecutive fellowships to study with guitarist Mike Stern. Venezia competed with almost 400 musicians for the jazz fellowship grant, one of 51 the NEA awarded across the nation to jazz musicians for composition, performance, and study. Venezia plays steel-string guitar with a nimble touch, he has five guitars, ranging from a nylon stringed classical instrument to a solid body electric guitar. 

Venezia writes compositions for jazz ensembles and solo guitar with influences drawn from We Montgomery, Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, and Miles Davis. His broad knowledge within the jazz idiom, yielding a musical voice with exciting results.
