Why no 010?

Jonathan Moody

Hey Esten, that's a great question! The people that created the sets have long since retired, so getting an actual answer behind it is probably moot.

However, it is something we're looking into. You're not the first person that's requested a set of 10s.

I have tried dozens upon dozens of different electric guitar strings, different gauges and brands.  GHS Precision Flats Ultra Lights 009-042 are my favorite strings.  They have spectacular balance from string-to-string, and are surprisingly long-lasting.  They are an unusual combination of mellow, and clearly defined.  I've put them on my Strat, which is an HH with Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90s, a Gibson 60s Tribute Les Paul, also with P90s, and a Gibson Midtown Custom (335-style guitar) with Burstbucker pickups.  From jazz to blues, to R&R, these strings excel.  All three of these guitars have either Fender or Duesenberg tremolo systems.  The GHS Ultra Lights are bendable, and remain in tune.  Six months later they are still going strong.  It doesn't get any better than this.

Thanks so much for the kind words, Joe! I'm glad the Precision Flats are treating you - and your guitars - well!
