GHS Strings Brightness Bar for Electric Bass Guitar Strings

GHS Strings Bassics Bass Guitar Strings

When you plan on holding down the low end all night, look to Bassics™. Utilizing a slightly smaller hex core with a final nickel-plated steel cover, Bassics™ speak clearly and easily, while still retaining a focused low end, all the way up the fretboard. They sit right in the pocket, allowing you to do the same.

Why Should You Play Bassics?

  • You want the full range of the bass, with a clear, even tone
  • You play "all styles" and want a bass string that can too
  • You love the vibe of Bass Boomers but want a little more "air" in the notes

Much as I love the Balanced Nickels I've been playing lately, I wanted something brighter to put onto a recently-purchased cheap used Squier 5 string Jazz bass after I had given it a good set up. Man, I love these strings! Great tone, bright without losing any punch - they make this bass sound much better than the price I paid for it. Best of all though, no floppy B string. Probably the best tension and clearest note I've had on a B in a very long time. I just wish I'd found them sooner.

Hey Andrew, thanks for the kind words on both the Balanced Nickels and the Bassics! I find the latter to be a great string, for all of the reasons you've mentioned. They're a great complement to the darker tones that the Balanced Nickels offer.

Really liking these strings on a wide range of basses!

Thanks for the kind words, Rob!
