Orlando Bassist LaVon Rushing was first introduced to the guitar by his father Bobby Rushing (guitarist for the Gospel Quartet powerhouse called the Mighty Sunset Travelers). As fate would have it, 6-year-old LaVon took interest by being immersed in music being played in his childhood home of Newport News, Virginia.

In the 24 years of Rushing's professional career, he has become an accomplished musician and producers. He has performed and worked with artist such as Natalie Cole, Ali Woodson (Temptations) Charlie Wilson (The Gap Band), Chorale, Jennifer Holiday, Keith Washington, Johnny Gill, Kim Burrell, Jackiem Joyner, Marcus Anderson, Yandel, Brian Littrell (Backstreet Boys), Jordan Knight (New Kids on the Block), Byron Stingly, Phil Micheal Thomas, Shirley Murdock, Gerald Levert, Shawn Levert, Hilary Duff, Marvin Sapp, Marvin Winans, Steve Cropper, Guitar Shorty, Kevin Cossom (Grammy Nominated), Rodney Jerkins, Vada Nobles, Ahlam, Angham, Hussain Al Jassmi 50 Cent, Disney (with The Tropicals, Cyber Groove, Joyful Gospel Chorus, and I4 Band) as well as served several years as musical director for the B.B King All Star Band in Orlando Florida.
