Jody Mosser is a multi-instrumentalist from Cumberland, MD and the resophonic guitarist for The Plate Scrapers of Bluemont, VA and The Jakob's Ferry Stragglers of Pittsburgh, PA. He has performed all across the East Coast from the Keys of Florida to the mountains of Stowe, VT and as far west as Seattle, WA. At home, Jody has taught guitar, mandolin, dobro, banjo and bass as a day job since 2005. He spent 4 years in the hotel industry after college only to leave for a full time career in music. Jody has since shared the stage with music greats such as Del McCoury, The Travelin' McCourys, Joe Craven, Steve Kaufman, Johnny Staats, Peter Rowan and Larry Keel and won 1st place in the 2013 Watermelon Park Fest Guitar Flat-Picking Competition in Bluemont, VA. Along with a rigorous teaching and performing schedule, Jody also works as a session musician, a live sound and studio engineer and has produced albums for local and regional artists.
