Bobby Gustafson is a guitarist best known as a member of the New Jersey-based thrash metal band Overkill from 1982 to his split with the band in 1990. He is presently releasing music with collaborators under the name Satan’s Taint.

Bobby Gustafson joined Overkill at 17 years old after an audition,[1] when the band was still playing only covers, coming from the garage band The Dropouts. He stimulated the other members to produce original music and was a key member in the Overkill quartet, having been a composer from the band's debut album Feel the Fire in 1985 to their most commercially successful album, The Years of Decay, in 1989.

Immediately after the split with Overkill in 1990, Gustafson went on tour with Cycle Sluts from Hell in Europe. Gustafson later formed a side-project with Exodus drummer Tom Hunting called I4NI.

He played in the industrial metal band Skrew album Shadow of Doubt in 1996, replacing their guitarist for the recording of the album. He then took some time off, moved to Florida and resumed in 2003 in the Florida-based band Response Negative. Gustafson took considerable time to bring on the collaborators and write the music for his next project, that was to be 100% guided by him.

Satan’s Taint’s debut, AXE TO THE HEAD OF MY ENEMIES, was independently released in 2017. The band’s 2019 signing to Megaforce Records (a return to the original home of Overkill) produced the release, DESTRUCTION RITUAL, which is due out August 2, 2019.
