Comin’ out like a twisted hybrid of Freddie King, Dick Dale, and Link Wray. Guitarist Steve Laudicina’s powerhouse performances owe a strong debt to the Blues, Surf, and Garage Rock of the 50’s and 60’s. At the age of 13 he and his family moved to South Florida from Long Island, where he got to see and meet a lot of older musicians, sparking his desire to start up his first few bands, mostly playing Punk Rock. Further nurturing his growth as a musician, he met JP Soars at the tender age of 18, introducing him many blues artists and life as a gigging musician...He would later tour North America, Brazil, Europe, and Canada with him for 3 years. He’s been working and touring the Blues circuit ever since and has received recognition from other musicians such as: Little Charlie Baty, Anson Funderburgh, Kenny Vaughn and legendary Drummer Sandy Nelson. He was offered to be a part of and record as the session guitarist for the book “Soul Fingers” Dedicated to bassist Donald “Duck” Dunn. The book was put out by Hal Leonard and is currently sold world wide! In 2016, Steve started a new project he has always wanted to do called “Toro Jones” which is an Instrumental Surf/Garage Rock group with its focus on the guitar riffs and writing music. He creates a sound that likens such artists as the Sonics, Dick Dale and Reverend Horton Heat. Now it’s time for Steve Laudicina to step up and show what he’s got, Go get em!
