Born and raised in the Orlando area, Jeff Coffey has always had an interest in music. He played trombone through junior high, high school and college as well as performed in numerous parades and musical groups at Walt Disney World. Also, during school, Jeff picked up the bass and performed in various rock bands he formed with his classmates. Jeff received a music scholarship to Stetson University and then attended UCF were he traveled with the Jazz Band to perform at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland as well as the North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague. Though it was an experience he had in high school that solidified his goals to one day perform professionally. His school marching band was invited to perform at a Superbowl Halftime show and after experiencing the power of a crowd that size; he knew there was nothing else he wanted to do but play music.

Jeff is an Orlando based musician/singer/songwriter who has shared the stage with artists as such Hootie and the Blowfish, Edwin McCain, Sixpence None the Richer, Vertical Horizon just to name a few & also was the touring bassist for Brian Howe (from Bad Company). Throughout his career, Jeff's recording credits include working with such great producers as Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac, Whitesnake, Rick Springfield), John Kurzweg (Creed, Puddle of Mudd), Justin Niebank (Keith Urban), and Stan Lynch (Don Henley). With producer Joe Smith (NSync, Mandy Moore) at the helm, he co-produced and released his first “self-titled” solo CD featuring his distinctive voice through soaring melodies and solid songwriting. The rich sounds of Jeff's music found their place on the Pop and Rock airwaves as many songs received spins on over 60 Top 40/AC stations across the country, as well as XM Radio. His single "Write About Me", was featured in Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's video game Sweet 16 Licensed to Drive and topped the NMW AC40 "Most Added" & "Prime Mover" Charts.

Later, Jeff released his second solo CD entitled "Long Way Home". This new CD featured nine brand new tracks that bridge the gap between Pop, Rock and Country. Two singles from this CD, "Through Your Eyes" and "Long Way Home" made it to the Top 20 on the FMQB AC/40 Chart.

After many packed shows at venues such as Hard Rock Live, House of Blues & SunFest, Jeff established himself as a prominent force not only in the Florida music scene, but nationally as well by winning accolades like Song of the Year and Male Solo Act of the Year from Songwriters Showcase of America. He was also a winner in the worldwide Song of the Year Competition. Much of Jeff's music has been featured on numerous TV shows on several major television networks such as NBC, MTV, CMTV, FOX, E! Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, A&E, Bravo and the CBS Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. “Through Your Eyes” was prominently featured on the prime time TV show “Men In Trees” staring Anne Heche.

Jeff's National TV appearances include NBC's "StarTomorrow", "The Daily Buzz" on the CW Network and performing the National Anthem at several Orlando Magic games and Atlanta Braves Spring Training games.

Jeff currently resides as the lead tenor vocalist / bassist for the multi platinum selling, Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame group Chicago. “Never in a million years did I ever dream I would have the opportunity to play with a band that I’ve admired my entire life. I’ve been a huge fan of Chicago ever since I picked up a trombone back in the 70’s and I thought Jimmy Pankow was most definitely the coolest trombone player EVER! Now being on stage with Chicago is such an honor for me and I’m having the time of my life!”

Jeff continues to write and record new music collaborating with many different artists and songwriters. See him perform live with Chicago in a city near you!
