Deron is a bassist from Indianapolis, Indiana and played his first bass line from the song “Get down on it” by Kool & the Gang on his grandfather’s piano at the age of ten. He was hooked. He started playing electric bass soon after and quickly added the upright bass to his instrument list. He learned to read music at a young age and participated in one of the top music programs in the country during his high school years. Deron studied under the direction of Jim Butz and Gary Rudolph. He was involved in many different bands and percussion ensembles. Being in these various programs taught him how to listen, read music, taught him discipline, versatility, and character on his instrument.

Soon after graduation, he was blessed with the opportunity to tour with national recording artist Sarah Reeves and Ricardo Sanchez. Deron is now the music director for Judah Band out of Indianapolis, Indiana. As he continues to follow his dreams in music, He was recently accepted into Full Sail University with a major in Music Business.
