John Benoit is a 22 year old rock guitar player based out of Boston, MA. A former Berklee College of Music student, he is well versed in many styles of music such as jazz, pop, funk, etc. but still finds his home playing rock music both with his band Self Portraits and his own post-hardcore project.
Ethan David Cate is an electric bassist born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia and is now a proud Berklee College of Music alumnus based out of Boston, Massachusetts. Ethan first picked up the bass in 2011, and has launched head-first into playing bass ever since, performing, touring, and recording with many different bands and artists over the course of his musical career, spanning genres like Rock, Pop, Funk, Metal, Indie, Folk/Country, and even musical theater. Ethan will be moving to Los Angeles, California to continue pursuing a career as a professional bassist and to continue working and performing with his band, Self Portraits, alongside fellow band-mates and GHS Artists Gray Trainer and John Benoit, all while continuing to hone his craft daily. Ethan has used GHS Bass Boomers ever since he bought his first bass, and could not be happier or more thankful to be a part of the GHS family.
Gray Trainer is a modern rock guitarist and songwriter based out of Boston, Massachusetts. Growing up in the greater Philadelphia area, he studied and performed with a broad range of the area’s most respected and highly trained groups of musicians. Now a Berklee College of Music alumnus, Gray has been performing with his alternative rock band Self Portraits. In addition to touring with his band, Gray has led instructional clinics at Berklee, and has performed as a demo artist for Brace Audio and Chris Campbell Custom Guitars at NAMM.
