Biography: Tom Adams is a 3-time recipient of the IBMA's Banjo Player of the Year award. First gaining national recognition in 1983 working with the legendary Jimmy Martin, Adams has two Grammy nominations for his work with the neo-traditionalist Johnson Mountain Boys. His album of banjo and fiddle duets with Michael Cleveland, Live at the Ragged Edge, earned IBMA's Instrumental Album of the Year in 2004. Adams is a contributor to the magazine Banjo Newsletter and hosts the BanjoThink channel on YouTube.
