Banjo master Todd Taylor receives Order of Palmetto for a life of service

State Sen. Glenn Reese presented Todd Taylor with the award, which was officially given by Gov. Nikki Haley in recognition of the banjo picker's lifetime achievement and service.
Todd Taylor is renowned for his prowess on the banjo, having earned multiple Grammy nominations during his career and establishing the Guinness World Record as the “Fastest Banjo Player.” He also has donated his time and talent to numerous local and national charities while representing the Palmetto State.
Reese, who nominated Todd Taylor for the honor, read a letter from Gov. Nikki Haley, in which she noted that the banjoist's “entire life and career have been marked by a strong level of commitment to our state.” Way to go Todd!
