Registration Open for Midwest Uke Camp 2, June 23rd-25th at Olivet College

You can now register for the second annual Midwest Uke Camp, taking place June 23rd through the 25th on the beautiful grounds of Olivet College.

Based off of the long-running Midwest Banjo Camp, the MUC combines the atmosphere of Mighty Uke Day with the immersive workshops and communal activities of the banjo camp, some of which include instructor concerts, group strums, open mic spots and plenty of free time jam sessions, indoors or out. Whether you're a beginner or a frequent uke strummer, there is something at the MUC for all skill levels.

The Midwest Uke Camp is co-produced by both Stan Werbin, founder of Lansing, Michigan's world-renowned Elderly Instruments, and Ukulele Ambassador, Ben Hassenger, co-founder of the Lansing Area Ukulele Group and organizer of Lansing's Mighty Uke Day festival and Interlochen’s Uketoberfest.

Instructors for this year's event include instructor, performer, and ukulele event organizer Ben Hassenger (above), as well as our very own GHS Strings artists Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel. Known together as "CheeMaisel," Craig and Sarah are world-renowed performers and educators, appearing regularly in Australia, the UK and all over the United States. Their passion for educating is apparent, having conducted countless workshops, as well as their online videos through the ArtistWorks website.
